Motorists travelling in and out of Liverpool via Edge Lane are advised of essential highway improvement works over the coming weeks.

  • From Monday 25th September to Tuesday 26th September, night-time road closures will be in operation at the junction of Milton Road with Edge Lane to allow junction resurfacing works to be completed.
  • On Wednesday 4th October, night-time road closures will be in operation at the junction of Milton Road and Edge Lane on the inbound carriageway, to allow junction resurfacing works to be completed.
  • On Thursday 5th October, night time road closures will be in operation at the junction of Milton Road and Edge Lane on the outbound carriageway, to allow junction resurfacing works to be completed.
  • On Friday 6th October, night-time road closures will be in operation on Binns Road (by the McVitties entrance) and Domville Road for road-resurfacing works and to allow two road crossings to be reinstated on the outbound carriage way at the Edge Lane and Mill Lane junction.
  • Off-peak lane closures are also in operation on the eastbound and westbound sides of Edge Lane from Mill Lane to Innovation Boulevard until the end of October 2017.

A spokesperson for AE Yates, the project managers working alongside Liverpool City Council and The Derwent Group to deliver the £100m Liverpool Shopping Park, said: “Work is progressing well and we are doing all we can to keep traffic moving on Edge Lane while we undertake resurfacing works.   We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage motorists to use alternative routes to avoid delays.”
